Art Brut takes over Schubas for five-night stand

I usually get tired of jokey bands after a couple of listens. That’s because the joke just isn’t funny after awhile. But after three albums, Art Brut is still funny, enjoyable and even exciting (it is a rock band). After seeing these guys three times, I hope to catch one of their five nights at Schubas next week.

The London-based punky popsters put on a great live show, largely because of the spastic energy of frontman Eddie Argos. Seeing them at a small venue like Schubas should be a blast. Art Brut is touring its newest release, “Art Brut vs. Satan,” which was produced by the Pixies’ Frank Black. Schubas will be rocking next week.
