The Pixies opened their Los Angeles shows this month by playing Louis Bunuel’s 1929 surrealist film Un Chien Andalou. The movie inspired Debaser, the opening song on the classic Doolittle (played in its entirety for three shows at the Aragon starting Thursday).
Check out this mash-up of Un Chien Andalou and Debaser.

Nice clip. I love the Pixies. I could never understand half of what Black Francis was on about, but I loved it. Check out my Doolittle related post http://thespiralscratch.wordpress.com/2010/05/06/monkey-gone-to-heaven/
If you don’t mind I’m going to add you to my blog roll.
